CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Endowment fund Gabrielis was created in 2015 as a way of supporting non-profit organisations in the
Czech republic. Since then, it has established close cooperation with not only Centrum Paraple an Alzhe-
imer endowment fund, but also supported preservation and reconstruction of the Zlenice castle, children’s
piano competition “Young Pianists Play on a Steinway & Sons Piano” and other educational, environment-
protecting and sport activities. For every pen sold from the PenMaster catalogue we keep 0,03 CZK to be
donated to non-profit organizations and charities on behalf of the Endowment Fund Gabrielis.

LITERARY PRIZE COMPETITION OF IVONA BŘEZINOVÁ

The festive announcement of the winners of the fifth year of the literary com-
petition for youth, organized by Gabrielis EF, took place on September 20,
2023, at the Klementinum National Library in Prague. Over 130 participants
took part in the competition, and the awards were presented to the winners
by the competition’s patron, Ivona Březinová. In the afternoon, a traditional
winners’ discussion with Ivona Březinová and her guest Petr Eliáš, the editor-
in-chief of Albatros Publishing, was held. The winning short stories were pub-
lished in a short story collection, available for download on the competition’s
website. The main partners of the event are the National Library of the Czech
Republic, the Higher School of Journalism, and Albatros Media.

YOUNG PIANISTS PLAY ON A STEINWAY & SONS PIANO

At the end of May, more than sixty children participated in the nationwide
competition “Young Pianists Play on a Steinway & Sons Piano,” designed for
children up to twelve years of age. For the twelfth time, the contest was hosted
by the Gymnasium and Music School of the capital city of Prague. All ten fi rst-
prize winners performed on November 11 at the winners’ concert and attend-
ed a seminar with the competition’s patron, Professor Ivan Klánský.
Gabrielis EF has been supporting this competition since 2018.

ing on supporting professionals caring for individuals with dementia. In 2023, 97 127 € has been donated to the fund since its establishment.
